| The University Information Technology Services (UITS) department of the University of Massachusetts is seeking a Digital Experience Intern who wants to become part of a dynamic team of technology professionals supporting the institution's mission, “To enable UMASS to provide an affordable and accessible education of high quality and to conduct programs of research and public service that advance knowledge and improve the lives of the people of the Commonwealth, the nation and the world.”
The Digital Experience team at the UMass President’s Office is seeking a current UMass student to work as a digital accessibility intern to support our overall digital accessibility efforts. We are seeking a UMass student that wants to learn about disability inclusion in the digital space. You will receive full access to our digital accessibility training suite, gain an understanding of the various types of assistive technology used by the disability community, and help us with digital accessibility activities happening across the President’s Office.
This internship is fully remote with working sessions happening via the Zoom meeting tool. |

Systems Administrator - Unified Communications

| The Systems Administrator – Unified Communications is a highly technical staff member within the Systems Engineering group in Information Technology. This position is responsible for primary ownership of the university’s enterprise telephony and unified communications infrastructure while also functioning as a fully integrated member of the broader Systems Engineering team.
This role maintains operational responsibility for UMass Lowell’s voice and communications platforms, including Session Border Controllers (SBCs), VoIP systems, SIP trunking, carrier services, and E911 compliance. In addition to unified communications ownership, the Systems Administrator is expected to contribute to general infrastructure initiatives and participate fully in cross-platform engineering efforts. Architectural standards and design decisions are established by the Systems Engineering Manager and Director, with this role focused on implementation, operational stability, and continuous improvement.
Under the direction of the Director of Systems Engineering, this position supports both the stability and modernization of unified communications services while also assisting with virtualization, server infrastructure, identity services, and other enterprise systems as required. The Systems Administrator participates fully in the Systems Engineering on-call rotation and must be capable of diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues across a multi-vendor environment. |
