Associate Director of Business Development and Marketing (ADBD) UMass Lowell
The Associate Director of Business Development and Marketing (ADBD) will be responsible for helping to grow the research enterprise of the Center for Energy Innovation (CEI), fostering relationships with energy industry companies as well as state and federal agencies involved in energy funding, policy, and research. The ADBD will be responsible for developing marketing materials and prepare proposals for grants to acquire external funding to support the CEI as well as help to increase the enrollment of students in the Energy Engineering Program.
Research Associate in Energy Engineering Modeling (MS or PhD) UMass Lowell
The Research Associate in Energy Engineering Modeling (MS or PhD) will research, design, and develop a modular techno-economic energy system software modeling capability. This candidate will employ the modeling tool to conduct several case-studies of coupled renewable (wind and solar) energy production and hydrogen energy storage systems. Dissemination of this research will include the development of an interactive graphical dashboard/web-app/app. The successful candidate will also assist in writing scholarly articles and research proposals, help to manage and educate graduate or undergraduate students, and assist in the successful operation of the laboratories and facilities.
Research Associate in Mechanical Engineering (MS or PhD) - Condition Monitoring and Computer Vision UMass Lowell
The Research Associate in Mechanical Engineering (MS or PhD) – Condition Monitoring and Computer Vision, will conduct analytical and experimental research in the areas of Nondestructive evaluation and Condition Monitoring with an emphasis on the development of computer vision and machine learning-enhanced techniques for damage detection, data acquisition, and system monitoring for energy systems (e.g., wind, solar, hydrogen). The successful candidate will also assist in writing scholarly articles and research proposals, help to manage and educate graduate or undergraduate students, and assist in the successful operation of the laboratories and facilities.

This role focuses on developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy, creating engaging content, advancing UMass Lowell’s brand on social, and fostering interaction and community engagement with the intention to create social communities that will attract and welcome prospective students, as well as engage employees, alumni, opinion leaders and the public. The Director will ensure the university's presence is strong across all social media channels and will coordinate with various campus departments to maintain consistency in messaging and branding.
