The Facilities and Operations and Services' team is seeking a Steam Fireman.  Incumbents of positions in this series operate, maintain and/or repair high pressure boilers and auxiliary machinery and equipment; clean machinery and equipment; respond to emergencies or equipment breakdowns; maintain adequate supply of fuel; and perform related work as required. The basic purpose of this work is to ensure that the power plant facility is operated and maintained safely and efficiently.

Cooperative Education Innovation Coordinator and Project Manager UMass Lowell

The UML Career & Co-op Center's Undergraduate Professional Cooperative Education program combines classroom education with structured work experience. Launched in 2009 as a pilot in the Plastics Engineering Department, the program has grown to support nearly 400 students annually and is now scaling toward 1,000 undergraduate co-ops per year. This scaling effort advances Chancellor Chen's guarantee that every student will have access to at least one paid career experience before graduation.
