The Volunteer & Mentor Recruitment Coordinator (part-time/temporary) supports alumni engagement initiatives by recruiting, coordinating, and stewarding alumni and community volunteers for mentorship, networking, and university programs. A primary focus of this role is supporting the Braven Mentorship Program, in partnership with the College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (FAHSS). This program connects alumni and professionals with students to strengthen career readiness, leadership development, and student success. The Coordinator also contributes to additional volunteer initiatives and alumni programs that build community, pride, and sustained engagement among UMass Lowell alumni.

This position oversees the full continuum of educator preparation — from field placement identification to licensure endorsement and workforce data analysis — in compliance with Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations. The Director provides leadership in partnership development, data systems, and assessment practices that connect preparation programs to statewide workforce priorities.
