The Digital Media Program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach DGMD.1210 Introduction to Audio Production during the designated academic semester. The course introduces students to the principles and practices of audio production for digital media, including studio and field recording, microphone selection and placement, portable recording systems, signal flow, editing, mixing, sound design, and post-production workflows. Instruction may include field sound for documentary, film, interviews, podcasts, and other location-based media production. The successful candidate will provide hands-on instruction, develop and evaluate student assignments, maintain regular communication with students, and support an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
Part-Time Faculty - (Podcasting) 530093 Art and Design
The Digital Media Program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach DGMD.4200 Podcasting during the designated academic semester. Podcasting is an advanced production course in which students research, develop, record, edit, and publish original audio programs of increasing complexity. Building upon foundational skills in audio production, the course addresses podcast concept development, research, interviewing, scriptwriting, story structure, producing, location scouting, scheduling, field recording, voice-over, sound design, editing, mixing, and distribution. Students may produce documentary, interview-based, narrative, journalistic, educational, promotional, or client-based podcasts. The course should introduce students to professional podcasting workflows, including media hosting, RSS feeds, podcast artwork, metadata, publishing platforms, audience development, and ethical and legal considerations. The successful candidate will provide hands-on instruction, guide students through individual and collaborative productions, evaluate creative and technical work, and support an inclusive and professionally oriented learning environment.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking to hire a new tenure-track faculty member. The Department presently consists of 26 full-time faculty and is growing. It offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in nearly every sub-discipline of the field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Chemistry and/or Polymer Science at the undergraduate and graduate levels and develop an active, high quality, externally funded and internationally recognized research program. A Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer science, or a closely related discipline is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred. Applicants at the Assistant Professor level are invited to apply. This search is open to all areas of chemistry, with specific interest in materials chemistry, broadly defined and including polymers; artificial intelligence, including applications to experimental design, data-driven discovery, and autonomous experimentation in chemistry; biophysics and biomaterials; and radiochemistry.
