Provides program and administrative assistance to faculty, staff, and students to support teaching, research, service, student recruiting, and outreach activities of the department. Responsibilities include developing and implementing procedures, managing the Department Office and student workers, overseeing student success, and retention initiatives within the department, and supporting faculty and staff needs. The position will manage outreach initiatives and create programming with corporate (including IAB members) and STEM pipeline (K-12) partners, to support workforce development initiatives in the Plastics Engineering field. |

| A postdoctoral position in medical device development is available at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. This position will involve the design, prototyping, and validation of novel wound healing technology. The project is sponsored by the Defense Health Agency through the US Combat Casualty Care Research Program and in collaboration with investigators at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on productivity and performance, as well as the availability of funding. Candidates with a strong background and hands-on experience in mechanical design, mechatronics, systems automation, and control are highly encouraged to apply. |
