Why your role matters

The Program and Events Administrator is responsible for overseeing UNSW students involved in delivering both online and on-campus experiences and events, while also providing essential program administrative support.

Reporting to the Program and Events Officer, this role does not have direct reports but may occasionally supervise casual staff as needed.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:  

  • Assist in event delivery (both face to face on-campus and online) including the arrangement of room bookings, sourcing of venues and booking catering.
  • Provide support in setting up online Zoom webinars, including creating links, managing panelist invites and administering polls.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating event registration forms and processes to ensure accurate student data is captured.
  • Provide administrative support to the Engagement and Operations team ahead of in-school and on-campus programs with the collation of workshop resources.

About You:     

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience in events (both online and in-person), program administration and scheduling.
  • Advanced organisational skills with the proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships and liaise effectively with staff and external stakeholders such as students, parents and teachers.
  • Ability to successfully plan, assist in delivery of events and meet program milestones to a high professional standard.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy with well-developed skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full and unencumbered driver’s license, and the ability to work at locations across Sydney and NSW and to work outside of normal working hours.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
