The SIT x NVIDIA AI Centre (SNAIC) is seeking a capable and hands-on Research Engineer to lead software development across a range of AI-driven research and industry projects. This role involves designing, building, and scaling production-grade systems and tools that support applied AI workflows, including model integration, data processing, visualization, deployment infrastructure, and user-facing applications where relevant, delivering deployment-ready Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). You’ll work closely with AI researchers and cross-functional teams to translate experimental prototypes into stable, maintainable, and scalable software systems. The development scope spans frontend, backend, APIs, dashboards, CLI tools, and system-level integration, depending on project needs. We're looking for someone with strong engineering fundamentals, product thinking, and a builder’s mindset who thrives in a fast-moving, lean team. Reporting to the Deputy Director POD, the incumbent will oversee the management, monitoring, operation, and optimization of the division’s lab resources, including but not limited to the policies and documentation of processes, division workplan, business continuity plans, data analytics and automation of workflows.

The role will involve overseeing assessment results-related matters and serving as the secretariat to the Board of Examiners for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education Training (CET) learners. This includes assisting in the implementation and management of CET programmes to ensure smooth operation and integration with the overall academic framework. The role is also responsible for student discipline and grievance matters, as well as assisting in the review of student disciplinary policies and procedures. Successful candidate will report to the Manager in Registrar’s Office and work closely with the CET team.

Act as a digital innovator to create of IT-enabled business capabilities to support the SIT’s digital transformation and data strategies. Also act as a business analyst to work closely with the business users to articulate business requirements, perform user acceptance test and handle issue management.
