Successful candidates will join the Centre for Professional Communication (CPC), as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about critical thinking in the teaching of communication in higher education and embedding the teaching of specific writing and speaking skills in content modules across programmes in different disciplines. CCS faculty are also deeply involved with industry transformation through their applied research in communication in the disciplines. They are also provided with paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached to work with industry.

Successful candidates will join the Infocomm Technology (ICT) Cluster (one of five domain clusters in SIT), as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and deeply involved with industry transformation through their applied research programmes. Faculty in the ICT Cluster undertake funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security and Software Engineering as well as supervise graduate industry masters and doctorate students in relevant topics. They are also provided with paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached to work with industry.

Successful candidates will join the Engineering (ENG) Cluster (one of five academic clusters in SIT), as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and deeply involved in industry transformation through applied research programmes.   Faculty in the ENG Cluster undertake funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in civil, mining, electrical, mechanical, material, marine and systems engineering as well as supervise graduate industry masters and doctorate students in relevant topics. Successful candidates will join the Business, Communication and Design (BCD) Cluster (one of five domain clusters in SIT) as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and deeply involved with industry transformation through their applied research programmes.  Faculty in the BCD Cluster undertake funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in Accounting, Air Transport Management, Digital Communications & Integrated Media and Hospitality Business as well as supervise industry masters and doctorate students in relevant topics. They are also provided paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached to work with industry.

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop/produce/investigate propulsion technology for autonomous drones.
