Biostatistician, Delaware Center for Cognitive Aging Research	Newark, DE/Hybrid
The Delaware Center for Cognitive Aging Research (DECCAR) at the University of Delaware is seeking a mid-level Biostatistician to support research focused on Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders (ADRD). This position will play a key role in supporting the Delaware Longitudinal Study for Alzheimer’s Prevention (DeLSAP), as well as a newly funded grant from the NIH leveraging electronic health records to assess treatment strategies for hypertension in older adults with ADRD. The Analyst will contribute to generating databases from linked EHR and Medicare claims data and prospective cohort studies, conducting statistical analyses, and data management while collaborating with affiliated faculty on grant proposals, complex dataset planning, and statistical reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata) and database skills for manipulating research and clinical data, performing quality control checks, producing analytic datasets, and conducting statistical analyses in large databases (e.g., descriptive statistics, survival analysis, regression-based analyses). All work will require application of Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP). The candidate will regularly interact with senior biostatisticians within the College of Health Sciences (CHS) Biostatistics Core. DECCAR is a leading hub in the state of Delaware for interdisciplinary research, clinical education, and community engagement focused on cognitive aging and dementia. The Center supports innovative efforts to slow, prevent, or reverse ADRD, while enhancing the quality of life and care for older adults
Instructor, Hospitality and Sport Business Management	Newark, DE
The Department of Hospitality and Sport Business Management invites applications for a continuing track (non-tenure) position in Sport Management at the Instructor level to begin September 2026. Candidates must hold a master’s degree or higher. Assistant Professor (Tenure Track), Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Delaware The Mathematical Sciences Department (https://math.udel.edu) in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Delaware seeks to appoint two tenure-track assistant professors in the area of mathematical foundations of data science, machine learning and/or artificial intelligence. Preference will be given to candidates studying either the application of data science/ML/AI to problems in computational mathematics, or the use of high-dimensional probabilistic modeling in data science/ML/AI. The successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of significant research achievements, strong potential for obtaining external research funding, and willingness to contribute to the department’s and University’s teaching and service missions. They will also show promise of effective teaching at the undergraduate level and interest in advising and teaching at the PhD level. The successful candidates are expected to strengthen and broaden multiple research initiatives in the department and enable interdisciplinary collaborations across campus. Applicants must have received a doctoral degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a closely related discipline by the start date of the position.
