Assistant Professor, Continuing Track, Physical Therapy Newark, DE
The Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, continuing-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek experienced, innovative, and highly motivated candidates with clinical expertise and experience teaching in a DPT program in at least one of the following areas: cardiopulmonary, medically complex, or acute/inpatient physical therapy. Primary responsibilities include teaching in both lecture and laboratory courses in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Candidates must hold a terminal academic doctorate (e.g., PhD, ScD, EdD) and demonstrate evidence of research experience and scholarly productivity. ABD candidates will be considered. A physical therapy degree and eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in Delaware are required. Highly qualified applicants will possess strong interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively as part of an educational team. All faculty members are expected to demonstrate a commitment to providing a supportive environment and cultivate belonging.
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Coastal Physical Oceanography Newark, DE
The School of Marine Science and Policy (SMSP) seeks to hire a tenure-track coastal physical oceanographer with research interests in estuaries, continental shelves, or the interface between coastal and open oceans. We seek candidates with research interests from any area of coastal physical oceanography, including a broad set of processes and varying scales: turbulence and mixing, meso- and submesoscale dynamics, boundary layers, shelf-wide circulation and property budgets, and the impact of climate on the coastal ocean, among others. Applications of candidates that integrate field observations, theory, or numerical modeling are welcome. SMSP offers an interdisciplinary environment with graduate programs in Physical Ocean Science & Engineering, Oceanography, Marine Biosciences, and Marine Policy,  and an undergraduate program in Marine Science, with concentrations in Oceanography and Marine Biosciences. We expect the candidate to be highly collaborative across our existing physical, chemical, geological, biological, and marine policy disciplines. SMSP is situated on the main campus in Newark and the coastal campus in Lewes, which together offer convenient access to state-of-the-art marine research facilities as well as coastal and estuarine environments in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Primary responsibilities include serving as the Director of the ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship and Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics/Dietetic Internship (MS/DI); teaching undergraduate and dietetic internship courses in food and nutrition; recruiting and mentoring students and interns; providing leadership to the nutrition program including curriculum development and evaluation; and contributing to University service.
