Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Delaware! Since 1891, we have been innovators in science and technology to serve society through research, education, and entrepreneurship.
We are certainly living in a transformative time, shaped by major societal challenges surrounding a global pandemic, climate change, and ensuring security and privacy in the information age. These are also exciting times, where we have a truly interconnected global community, are making strides towards achieving equality, continue to advance medical technological wonders to advance human health, and are even seeing a growth in private spaceflight. In ECE, we explore the science and technology that lies at the interface between the cyber and physical worlds, forming the basis for the complex systems that will lead the way in addressing these societal challenges. |

The Center aims to improve the quality of healthcare and quality of life for rehabilitation populations and individuals with traumatic injury by improving patient assessment tools and practices. In particular, our team of psychologists and psychometricians studies the science and practice of outcomes measurement. CHART is funded through grants from the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Defense, and private foundations. |
