Lab Coordinator II, Delaware Biotechnology Institute Newark, DE
The Delaware Biotechnology Institute (DBI) is an interdisciplinary research unit at the University of Delaware. The vision is to create a better future through leadership in life science research. Many of DBI's activities involve molecular and cellular studies of living systems and many, but not all, of the research activities involve partnerships with other institutions in the region. DBI's mission is to promote research, education, and technology transfer for biotechnology applications to the benefit of the environment, agriculture, and human health. DBI staff are committed to being proactive in solving problems, serving the needs of the faculty and research groups that rely on DBI, and performing all duties efficiently, with careful attention to detail, and with priority on issues that support the Institute's mission and the team. Under the limited direction of the DBI Director and the DBI leadership team, the DBI lab coordinator is responsible for: (1) managing the Delaware Biotechnology Institute’s shared instrumentation facilities which includes over $2M in assets in biochemical, molecular, cellular, plant biology equipment and instrumentation that supports the institute’s research and education mission (2) managing the DBI safety/chemical hygiene program for DBI labs and facilities; (3) providing training and oversight of users of DBI resources and programs.

The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting & Accounting provides leadership and oversight of the University’s external financial reporting, interim reporting, and key accounting functions. Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, the Senior Manager ensures the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, oversees the coordination of audits, manages accounting and reporting processes, and supports initiatives to enhance transparency and efficiency across University Finance.
Academic Success Coach II Newark, DE/Hybrid
Academic Coaching and Tutoring (ACT) empowers University of Delaware students with the skills and strategies needed for academic success. Reporting to the ACT Director, the Academic Success Coach II supports student retention, success, and degree completion through one-on-one holistic coaching with undergraduate students. The role also contributes to the design and implementation of innovative academic support initiatives, collaborates with campus partners, and helps advance university-wide student success efforts. In addition, the Academic Success Coach II supports new student programs, workshops, presentations, and outreach, while assisting with program development, assessment, and evaluation to enhance the overall student experience.
Associate Director, Industry Engagement Newark, DE/Hybrid
Under the general direction of the Director, Member Engagement & Strategy, the Associate Director, Industry Engagement will have primary responsibility for moving the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL) closer to its financial goals by cultivating a network of dedicated and engaged industry members, leading to value creation for NIIMBL as well as a positive return on investment for the members. NIIMBL membership fees represent a significant and impactful portion of revenue. The incumbent will form and manage strong relationships with external stakeholders and ensure key industry members are engaged and satisfied with their membership.

The University of Delaware is seeking a skilled Utilities Technician to support campus facilities in Lewes. This journeyman-level role involves inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC and electrical systems, including power distribution, refrigeration, pumps, motors, and research support equipment. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience, can work independently on non-routine schedules, and is comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varied conditions. A high school diploma or trade school training plus five years of HVAC or electrical experience is required.
