Student Services for Athletes (SSA) supports student-athletes in their academic, career and personal development. As part of the Division of Student Life, SSA works with Athletics so that we can achieve excellence together.
Role Description:
Are you a highly organized and motivated student looking for a rewarding work-study opportunity? Join our team at the University of Delaware's Whitney Athletic Center and play a key role in supporting our Blue Hen student-athletes! This position offers a unique chance to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, helping our athletes succeed both in their sports and in the classroom.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a key member of our Student Services team, you'll be the friendly face and helping hand for our student-athletes and staff. Your responsibilities will include:
- Make sure the study hall kiosk is operational
- Complete 3-4 study hall checks per shift
- Sending reports on who is present or not.
- Assist our tutors with proper room set up and check-in
- Help to maintain an environment conducive to studying
- Help facilitate reservations for our conference rooms
- Before the end of the shift:
- Make sure the study area is clean (trash)
- Chairs are pushed in
- Organize furniture
Job Requirements:
- Must be eligible for work-study
