| The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University invites applications for a faculty position in Anesthesiology. This is a full-time, 12-month academic position at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Appointment may be in a tenure or clinical track depending on the qualifications and goals of the successful candidate.
Candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree, be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey, and board-certified or board eligible in ACVAA. The successful candidate will be a founding faculty member of the SSVM and play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems. Service duties include clinical service for the SSVM teaching hospital. This 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located on the Glassboro Campus provides both primary and specialized care for companion, food and fiber animals throughout New Jersey and surrounding states.
Creative scholarly activity is expected to advance the discipline of veterinary anesthesia/analgesia though the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, but the extent will depend on the candidate’s appointment and may include collaborative or independent research. Offering entry-level and degree-advancement programs leading to the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy, the Rowan University Respiratory Therapy program is located in the new Health Sciences Center on the campus of Rowan College of Jersey in Sewell, NJ. The entry-level and degree-advancement baccalaureate programs hold provisional accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

| A full-time Research Associate position is available in the lung pharmacology laboratory at Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, led by the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. Specifically, the lab focuses on themes of lung biology, corticosteroid resistance, glucocorticoid signaling, cytokine networks in lung cells and precision medicine (Durham A et al., Curr Pharm Des. 2011). The lab uses a wide variety of approaches and models to study glucocorticoid signaling, lung cell biology and pro-inflammatory cytokine gene expression. This role involves supporting studies and experiments in the laboratory, including western blot analysis, DNA and RNA isolations, PCR, qPCR, and cell culture in addition to maintaining a detailed daily experiment log, overseeing reagents inventory, ordering supplies, and contributing to general lab management and organization. |
