The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track teaching professor(s) at the assistant teaching professor/associate teaching professor/teaching professor level to contribute to the instructional offerings in human gross anatomy. This position will entail teaching gross anatomy to first- and second-year medical students in an integrated curriculum. Teaching formats at CMSRU include lecture, small-group active learning, and cadaveric dissection laboratory sessions. Additional academic responsibilities will include preparation of demonstration prosections; advising and mentoring students in the development of scholarly projects; assessing, reviewing, and evaluating student educational activities and progress; serving on university and departmental committees; and contributing to anatomical teaching in the summer programs. Offering entry-level and degree-advancement programs leading to the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy, the Rowan University Respiratory Therapy program is located in the new Health Sciences Center on the campus of Rowan College of Jersey in Sewell, NJ. The entry-level and degree-advancement baccalaureate programs hold provisional accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
The successful candidate will be expected to be a collaborative member of a dynamic team and to assist with the ongoing development and implementation of the new BS in Respiratory Therapy Entry into Practice program. The successful candidate will hold a one-year Visiting Professor position and will report to the Program Director.
