Basic Function:

The School of Health Sciences at Kent State University, Stark Campus, invites applications for part-time faculty who can teach courses on the Stark Campus teaching in the area of Nutrition and Dietetics beginning with the Spring 2026 semester.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Adjunct faculty are expected to:

  • Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts.
  • Prepare and deliver learning activities to achieve course outcomes.
  • Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments, papers, and examinations.
  • Maintain and submit student grades in a timely fashion and other required documentation by specified deadlines.
  • Be available to students for office hours.
  • Be sensitive to the needs of a diverse population.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

A master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field is required as well as being a registered dietitian.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

 Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
