Responsible for serving as a liaison between users and the technical team responsible for providing information support for operational and project based needs for Development and Alumni Relations Operations. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing and coordinating user needs as they relate to information systems. They will guide the development of functional requirements, communicate technical ideas to non-technical users, communicate functional requirements to the technical team and highlight areas of improvement. The Lehigh community takes seriously our commitment to antiracism and The Principles of our Equitable Community.

1. Provide front line support for the information utilized in Development and Alumni Relations operations at the University
*Manage incoming tickets in the customer support system
*Identify enhancement opportunities, and provide guidance to less-experienced users
*Analyze and coordinate user needs as they related to information systems
*Increase end-user satisfaction, by decreasing response time for requests
*Respond to requests in a timely manner
*Collect information about user problems
*Effectively guide non-technical users through the issue resolution process
*Provide excellent communication to non-technical users through written, graphical, verbal and in person communications
*Refer issues to other areas as appropriate
*Create and maintain documentation relevant to team responsibilities

2. Utilize, support and promote the use of the Development and Alumni Relations primary information system, CRM Advance and related information systems, reporting tools and analytic tools
*Collaborate with Systems Training and Management Lead colleague to ensure best training practices and data extraction.
*Assist and advise Development and Alumni Relations users on the best practices for utilizing CRM Advance to achieve their goals
*Possess a working understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), and T-SQL as a means of translating requirements between functional users and the technical team
*Work to develop increased technical skills in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), T-SQL, and the tools used to develop reports, dashboards, and CRM Advance UI
*Collect requirements from non-technical users
*Translate requests into needs focusing on end goals, not just user requests
*Participate in the testing of System upgrades
*Provide CRM Advance subject matter expertise to the Training and Project Management team as needed

3. Effectively manage a mix of project and operational work
*Appropriately prioritize a large volume of multiple requests, projects, issues, etc.
*Adapt to changing priorities based on a fast-moving dynamic environment
*Independently manage projects as determined by Development and Alumni Relations Operations management
*Collect the needs of stakeholders at various levels and positions within the organization
*Effectively communicate project status and issues to management
*Excellent organizational and time management skills
*Ability to communicate effectively with team members
*Meet project deadlines

4. Support and collaborate with a diverse University community
*Maintain excellent relations between Development and Alumni Relations Operations, Development and Alumni Relations and the Lehigh Community
*Serve as the liaison for information between Development and Alumni Relations and other Lehigh Stems, colleges, offices, departments, etc.
*Maintain excellent intra-team relationships
*Collaborate with team members as necessary with a focus on maximizing available time and resources
*Serve as a backup to Information Specialists for day to day operations
*Occasionally volunteer to support other teams in Development and Alumni Relations 

5. Maintain proficiency in the systems and technologies used by Development and Alumni Relations 
*Monitor relevant publications, websites, listservs, etc. to keep up to date on systems, technology, fundraising trends and other professional development topics relevant to the team

Special Considerations

The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community

Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Three to five years related work experience 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Superior quantitative and analytical skills

Critical thinking and decision making 

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to completion 

Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
