Marist University invites applications for the position of Part-Time Faculty, Economics for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position is responsible for teaching undergraduate-level economics courses: Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics. Topics in microeconomics include demand and supply analysis, market failures and government intervention, consumer decision making, supply decisions by firms, industry structure, and the role of ethics in consumer and producer economics decisions. Topics in macroeconomics include economic growth, business cycles, unemployment, inflation, macroeconomic models, fiscal policy, the Federal Reserve System, banking, monetary policy, and the role of ethics in macroeconomics.
All courses will be taught using a combination of on-ground and online methods, with synchronous components. Strong technology skills are necessary. Instructors should have familiarity with learning management systems or a willingness to learn skills for effective online, hybrid, or blended instruction.
