| 8G is a Cardiology and Surgical Stepdown Unit that consists of 19 private rooms. The patient population consists of cardiology, thoracic, vascular, cardiac and surg onc. The Stepdown Unit with its 1:3 nurse patient ratio transitions patients from the ICU to prepare them for acute care and or discharge. This allow for nurses to deliver quality care, provide specific patient education and allows for clinical diversity along with personal growth. |
