The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility & benefits, initiating precertification with payer, contacting Utilization Review department for concurrent review, research patient's co pay/deductible/out of pocket expense and collect from the patient either in-house or upon discharge. Responsible for working with Patient Flow Coordinator to follow up on bed placement activity, bed transfer and discharge of inpatients. Answer a large volume of telephone calls regarding inpatient admissions and from insurance companies. Interacts with all levels of clinical staff regarding patient activity. Ensures Clinical Physician Order Entry are correct based on how patient was scheduled. Responsible for overseeing the paperwork for in-house expirations and works with physicians to obtain signature on electronic death certificate. Will be responsible for securing & releasing patient valuables. Also responsible for researching & collect patient's financial responsibility in person or with patient via phone. |

The Outpatient Administrative Specialist will manage incoming new patient referrals and assist with standardized patient check-in and check-out procedures such as entering and verifying demographic, insurance and financial information and generating routine forms and other documentation. Also responsible for completion of FMLA and disability forms as needed. Responsible for the processing of incoming/outgoing patient appointment referrals for all providers. In addition, will schedule complex multiple provider appointments. Will provide administrative support to ambulatory patient care functions. Will collect patient co-pays, manage denial process and assist with other Front Desk tasks. Works with/advises patients on insurance carrier requirements including services not covered and obtains documentation. Responsible for understanding the need for ABN's and Waiver of Liability. The Outpatient Administrative Specialist will answer calls, and obtain insurance authorizations as needed. Will prioritize incoming mail, faxes and correspondence. Accepts assignments to other areas as needed. |

Support clinic providers with training and re-education as it relates to Office of Mental Health regulations. Monitor open encounters and report any issues to the Business Manager. Review utilization of services in order to comply with regulatory and institutional requirements. Insure patient care services are appropriately documented and utilized. Review case records to determine if patients are receiving appropriate services and at the correct level of service. |
