Coordinate multiple research trials for the Institute for Global Health, including early to late phase FDA-regulated trials, and ensure compliance with federal guidelines. Interact and correspond with clinicians, sponsors, cooperative groups, Upstate's Institutional Review Board and regulatory agencies. Enroll, register and screen patients for clinical research trials; collect and submit clinical trial patient data. Perform various administrative duties, which may include proper collection and shipment of lab samples; billing support; maintenance of clinical research study supplies and drug accountability. |
Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Will function as a technologist in one or more areas (Microbiology, Hematology, Chemistry/Microscopy, Blood Bank and Immunology) of the laboratory performing patient care testing. Perform duties that may include; running various laboratory instrumentation, performing manual testing, specimen receiving and processing; computer related duties such as patient entry, test request entry/requisition format, on-line/manual entry of test results, data retrieval, printing and answering worksheets, printing panic and pending log sheets, phoning panic values and documenting in computer system, quality control, reagent preparation, following general laboratory and safety procedures including universal precautions and chemical and biochemical hazard precautions. |
Inpatient Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Conducting complete psychiatric assessments and mental status examinations, determining diagnostic impressions in accordance with the DSM 5 and providing psychiatric treatment including prescribing and administering medications.
• Performs comprehensive history and examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including behavioral health history.
• Makes referrals to outside care/ facilities or orders diagnostic/laboratory tests as needed and collects, interprets and documents test results for patients.
• Participates in treatment teams and develops and implements patient treatment care plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, emotional problems of daily living, health maintenance, and addiction treatment.
• The successful applicant will be a member of an interdisciplinary team and will work collaboratively with our physicians in providing psychiatric care and managing psychiatric issues.
