Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs (Confidential Administrative Support II) - ON CAMPUS ONLY Chico
The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs is looking for a Confidential Administrative Support II. This position will serve as the Executive Assistant providing essential front-line executive administrative support to the Vice President of Student Affairs. It is expected that incumbent will provide professional, friendly assistance to a broad range of inquiries from both on-campus and off campus visitors handling complex, confidential and sensitive issues. Serving as the primary point of contact for the Vice President of Student Affairs, the incumbent works closely with the Student Affairs directors, other Vice Presidents, Associate and Assistant Vice Presidents, the Office of the President, as well as the CSU, Chancellor’s office. In addition, the Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for the Vice President with the University’s internal stakeholders (students, staff, faculty and parents) as well as external stakeholders (government agencies, universities and schools, and community organizations and leaders). Essential duties require the incumbent to interpret and apply complex operating policies and procedures, perform research, prepare reports with recommended courses of action, make in-depth analytical studies and inquiries, which may have broad impact, make recommendations for changes in policy or procedures, and handle problems of a highly confidential and sensitive nature.
Administrative Assistant to Residential Life (Administrative Support Assistant II) Chico
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director for Residence Life in University Housing (UH), incumbent will provide administrative program support related to UH Residence Life Program (hall programming, selection and training of paraprofessional staff, training and development of professional staff). Incumbent directly supports four staff members (AD for Residence Life, Hub Coordinator, Senior Coordinator for Conduct and Compliance and Senior Coordinator for Leadership and Development) and indirectly supports other residence life staff members. Day-to-day work is performed relatively independently with general instructions except for new assignments. Incumbent also coordinates UH student staff employment, payroll activities, and compliance training with supervisors and area managers. They serve as a liaison between UH and other on campus departments such as Human Resources, Student Financial Services and Student Employment Services.

Director of Basic Needs (Administrator II) Chico
Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President of Student Support Programs, and in collaboration with the campus departments, State and Federal agencies and community partners, serves as the Basic Needs Director. Serves as the point of contact and strategic leader of the Basic Needs Initiative including close collaboration with the CSU Chancellor’s Office. Manages the Basic Needs Department and works with community partners to develop basic needs resources for more than 50% of Chico State students who experience low to very low levels of food and housing security. Resources include those directed at both food (food pantry) and housing (affordable housing, rapid re-housing and homeless intervention programs) needs along with wellness, public health, disaster response, access to benefits, affordable housing and case-managed wraparound services. Additionally the Director leads fundraising and grant development opportunities to further the work of the Basic Needs Department.

EOP/FYE Coordinator (Student Services Professional III) REPOSTED Chico
Working independently, under general direction, this position performs complex professional student service work and activities. Responsibilities include academic monitoring and student advising, training and supervision of staff, student interns and student paraprofessionals, coordination of Summer Bridge Program and serving as lead Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Advisor for first time freshmen. The Educational Opportunity Program assists historically low-income and first generation college students in making a positive transition to CSU, Chico and the surrounding community with the explicit goal of increasing their retention and graduation rates at CSU, Chico. EOP offers a comprehensive program of transitional and support services including an EOP Freshman Year Experience (FYE), Summer Bridge Program, special orientation sessions, counseling, tutoring, academic advising, learning assistance and career exploration to all eligible students.
Supervising Building Service Engineer Chico
Working independently, under general supervision, the Supervising Building Service Engineer provides leadership in all facets to the Building Service Engineers (BSE), Operating Engineers, Facilities Control Specialists, Refrigeration Mechanics, Facilities Workers, and student workers; giving work direction and training for the staff and student employee staff. In addition, the incumbent performs maintenance and repair work on a wide range of heating, ventilating, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical, refrigeration, air conditioning, water systems and auxiliary equipment. Incumbent will operate, test, adjust, and calibrate, boiler, air conditioning machinery, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or microprocessor control instruments. The Supervising Building Service Engineer monitors building systems data, adjust systems accordingly and respond to service requests to adjust airflow, temperature and humidity balances for individual rooms, building areas or buildings. The duties include testing and chemically treating boiler, condenser, and cooling tower water and water from other systems, as well as maintenance, inspection, diagnoses and emergency repairs for systems. Incumbent will regularly use features of building automation systems to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in the HVAC systems and adjust to optimize energy conservation, and may maintain logs of maintenance and repairs, using manual and computerized record-keeping systems, and provide instruction and/or work with semi-skilled or unskilled assistants. Duties also include swimming pool maintenance, and work on bearings, shafts, seals, rings and electrical wiring and installation of central system parts, gauges, valves and pipes. This position requires the application of journey-level skills in one or more of the applicable trades.
Benefits and Leaves Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist) Chico
Working independently and under the general supervision of the Director of Benefits, Leaves and Workers' Compensation, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the benefits, leaves and workers' compensation office. Incumbent will provide a full range of moderate to complex administrative coordination of Worker's Compensation and Leaves Programs for CSU Chico State employees. Responsibilities include the application and adherence to guidelines in accordance with laws, regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and procedures related to employee leaves of absence and worker's compensation. Incumbent will assist with confidential and sensitive issues, coordinating with the employees, departments, and others to ensure the processes regarding an employee's leave are done timely, documented and communicated efficiently. Areas of responsibility include; providing information regarding eligibility, benefit provisions, rates, enrollment and claim procedures for the mandatory state-financed and voluntary benefit programs which includes: Health, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Dependent/Health Care Reimbursement Account, Flex-Cash Reimbursement Program, Employer-Paid Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability Programs, Deferred Retirement Accounts, Trustee's recommended Voluntary Insurance Programs, and regulations governed the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). As a subject matter expert in the operation and maintenance of benefits processing incumbent will utilize the CMS PeopleSoft HR System, to create and update employee benefits records, for the timely transmission of information to appropriate entities. This includes sending an electronic interface and/or creating source documents from PeopleSoft to the State Controller's Office, California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) and other benefits vendors.
Performing Arts Technician III Chico
Under general direction of Associate Dean of the College of Humanities and Fine Arts, incumbent works independently to provide broad production support, covering multiple production specialties; participates in production planning meetings, designs components of stage productions; determines need for and coordinates the acquisition of stage supplies; provides creative and technical consultation and leadership on a variety of production issues and provides supervision and instruction to student employees. Incumbent coordinates all technical aspects of stage and set construction, and installation and ensure functionality of audio/music equipment. Incumbent is responsible for facilitating a wide variety of productions and projects including administrative functions, such as budget preparation, cost analyses, vendor management, and records maintenance, training/supervising students, maintain safety standards according to Cal-OSHA. May serve as the production technical and operational director.
Associate Director for Facility Operations & Projects (Administrator II) Chico
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of the Department of University Housing, the Associate Director for Facilities & Projects (ADFP) serves as a member of the Executive Director's leadership team, sharing responsibilities for the day-to-day operation of all University Housing facilities and improvements of these facilities. The incumbent has responsibility for the day-to-day administration and management of the facilities staff and is responsible for the oversight of the work order system; inventory control; damage assessment as well and training and development of those supervised. The incumbent establishes quality standards including policies and procedures and also conducts periodic reviews of programs and services offered to ensure continued high quality of service. The Associate Director of Facilities & Projects will have strong input and recommendations on budgets and expenses allocated for facilities as well as major capital improvements. Work will include on call duty for emergencies. Work may include late night, early morning, weekend commitments, and travel as situations dictate/require.
SharePoint Developer (Analyst/Programmer-Career) REPOSTED Chico

They must understand web technologies and have great communication skills, to work with cross-functional teams. They will have extensive knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 proficiency with front-end programming languages, and the ability to solve complex software issues.
