Job/Department Summary:

Working independently, under the general supervision of the Marketing Director of Professional & Continuing Education (PCE), the Marketing and Communications Coordinator coordinates and facilitates the implementation of marketing campaigns, prospective student communications, and public and campus messaging for PCE programs. Incumbent develops marketing content and materials to successfully promote credit and non-credit courses, degree programs, and conferences; monitors campaigns and reports results; tracks leads; coordinates and attends targeted campus and community relations activities; ensures the timely response to prospect questions and communications; and maintains website content. Incumbent develops positive working relationships with external and internal stakeholders, such as vendors, education partners, program faculty/instructors, community media outlets, and university staff, and works collaboratively with the PCE team, to achieve marketing and recruiting goals for the department. The position requires strong organization skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: 

  • Bilingual.
  • Experience in digital marketing campaigns.

  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management software such as Salesforce.

  • Experience working with Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Sign.

  • Experience in Office 365 applications.

  • Willingness to adjust to change, demonstrates flexibility and patience with changing expectations (e.g. technology, responsibilities and assignments).

  • Skill to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone, and in writing.

Required Education and Experience:

The qualifications for this position are normally obtained through a college degree, which includes relevant coursework in the field, and three years of related professional or technical experience, such as organizational communications, media, marketing, or public relations.

Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00-5:30. 

CSU Classification Salary Range:  $45,132 - $81,636 per year.
