Job/Department Summary:
Chico State is seeking individuals interested in short-term temporary Clerical and Administrative staff positions. Are you interested in exploring a career with Chico State? Are you a retiree wishing to remain engaged in the workforce? This may be a great option for you.
The appointments vary in classification, salary, and duration and provide varying levels of general office and clerical support for students, faculty, and/or staff. The primary goal of the applicant pool is to provide immediate staffing support services to the campus community.
The pool will be used to notify interested applicants when new Clerical and Administrative opportunities become available. Short-term temporary opportunities (full-time, part-time, and intermittent) will not exceed 180 days. Individuals appointed to short-term temporary positions are not eligible to gain permanent status nor are they eligible for benefits unless the actual hours worked meet the eligibility requirements for medical benefits under the Affordable Health Care Act (ACA).

Education and Experience:
Positions require experience to be proficient in performing most or all work assignments and should include administrative support, coordinating and prioritizing many different clerical tasks, applying and communicating policies and procedures. These qualifications, and the above listed minimum knowledge, skills and abilities would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with:
Administrative Support Assistant II: Two years recent experience in an office environment.
Administrative Support Coordinator I: Three years of related office work experience.
Administrative Support Coordinator II: Four years of related office work experience.
Time Base: TBD (depending on hiring department)
Pay Plan: 12/12
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00-5:30pm (subject to change depending on hiring department)
CSU Classification Salary Range for ASA II: $40,056 - $58,956 per year.
CSU Classification Salary Range for ASC I: $42,060 - $66,096 per year.
CSU Classification Salary Range for ASC II: $44,172 - $72,408 per year.
