Job/Department Summary:

Working under general supervision, the OCRT Administrative Coordinator provides general administrative support to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of the Office for Civil Rights and Title IX (OCRT) and supports all aspects of OCRT. Incumbent performs work of a highly sensitive and confidential nature in direct support of the AVP for OCRT, requiring regular access to information related to investigations, staff and MPP actions, litigation correspondence, settlements/resolutions of claims, hearings and other OCRT personnel matters. Incumbent serves as the primary point of contact for the office, responds to inquiries, coordinates communications regarding OCRT processes, maintains confidential records and case management systems, and supports the administration of Title IX, Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (DHR), and related civil rights processes. Performs operational and administrative duties, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, confidential record keeping, monitoring deadlines, preparing correspondence and reports, assisting with investigations and hearings, supporting training and outreach activities, and coordinating office budget, purchasing, and travel-related functions.

Required Education and Experience:

Must possess the knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience to be fully proficient in performing most or all the work assignments defined in this position.  Requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: 

  • Experience with Title IX, Title VII, Clery, VAWA and other relevant laws.
  • Experience working in a legal setting, or other setting involving sensitive or trauma-related matters or confidential records.
  • Experience using case management and tracking systems.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, labor relations, investigative, or other confidential personnel matters.
  • Demonstrated experience working and supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds

Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm 

CSU Classification Salary Range:  $51,132 - $97,992 per year.

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the Clery Act and is required to comply with the requirements of this designation.

The Confidential Support Series covers those employees of the CSU who have been designated as “confidential” in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA). According to HEERA, an employee is designated as “confidential” if he or she is “required to develop or present management positions with respect to meeting and conferring or whose duties normally require access to confidential information which contributes significantly to the development of those management positions.”
