2026-27 Lecturer Pool Department of Marketing Chico
The Marketing Department in the College of Business is collecting application materials for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. Specific course/discipline needs are primarily in the areas of Survey of Marketing (Intro to Marketing) and Business Communications. Applicants with an ability to also teach sales, marketing strategy and retailing are preferred. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
Plumber Chico
Working independently with general supervision, the incumbent performs the full range of skilled plumbing duties as defined in the CSU Classification and Qualification Standard for the Plumber Series. Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, inspection, modification, remodeling, and repair of mechanical plumbing equipment and fixtures supporting water, gas, oil, steam, sewage, fire sprinkler/prevention, and refrigeration-related systems. This work is performed to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive learning environment. The position requires sound judgment and decision-making based on established maintenance practices. Incumbents may also provide instruction and lead direction to unskilled and semi-skilled assistants. Some positions may be assigned water treatment responsibilities, including monitoring, testing, and the chemical treatment of potable and/or non-potable water systems. Radiologic Technologist II - Per Diem Chico
Under general supervision, the Radiologic Technologist II performs a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures and provides administrative and operational coordination for the radiology department at the WellCat Health Center (WCHC). The incumbent works independently to produce high-quality radiographs and other diagnostic images using radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). This position makes independent decisions regarding imaging techniques, assesses image quality, determines the need for retakes or additional views, and monitors patients’ conditions during procedures. The Radiologic Technologist II provides technical expertise, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and contributes to the overall efficiency and quality assurance of the radiology department.
Clinical Lab Scientist I (Per Diem) Chico
Working under the supervision of a physician laboratory director or higher-level Clinical Laboratory Scientist, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist I (CLS I) is a licensed professional responsible for performing a wide variety of moderate to highly complex clinical laboratory tests and examinations. The CLS I provides medical staff with essential laboratory data for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illness and disease within the university setting. Assignments typically include diagnostic testing ordered by licensed practitioners (e.g., urinalysis, pregnancy tests, blood tests, antibiotic sensitivity tests), specimen collection and preparation, interpretation of test outcomes, calibration and maintenance of equipment, and quality assurance in compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
