Lead Salesforce Developer (Analyst/Programmer-Expert) REVISED Chico
The Lead Salesforce Developer performs analysis, application development, systems/data integration, data management, system administration, and end user support/training for the Salesforce/TargetX ecosystem (AKA Chico State 360), the campus portal, and other similar integrated systems. As an expert-level position, the incumbent works independently on the most complex problems and work assignments and possesses advanced and comprehensive technical knowledge, and has an advanced understanding of software management and support methodologies. The incumbent is also responsible for performing lead duties and providing supervisory oversight for a small team of developers. This requires task assignment/delegation, monitoring work, code review, project management, leading team meetings/planning, and other similar team coordination. The incumbent utilizes strong organizational and communication skills. Incumbent is required to adhere to CSU and campus policies, standards, and procedures related to information technology support, information security, change control, desktop, server and application standards, accessibility standards, applications and web development standards, vendor access requirements, training, and more. Under the general direction of the Director of Design and Construction, the Energy Project Manager manages design and construction of complex capital construction projects for CSU, Chico buildings and facilities with an emphasis on energy, sustainability and utility infrastructure. Construction projects have a high degree of diversity, use innovative or advanced building design and construction, require alternative, often complex contracting methods, and have other complicated construction features. Employee consults with Department and University executives to plan and define facility needs, coordinate the budget, and oversee the contract process from design through construction. Employee manages projects that incorporate complex design features, unusual building materials, and advanced building techniques. Projects present diversified and novel problems in which often, established criteria and technical precedents frequently do not apply. Typically, the employee cannot rely on precedent or standard data in making judgments and decisions. The Energy Project Manager carries out their work with considerable freedom, frequently selecting the approach to resolve complex problems. The supervisor reviews work for adequacy in terms of meeting the broad technical objectives and for compliance with agency policies and regulations. The Energy Project Manager is expected to independently render technical decisions or effectively recommend decisions to controversial issues that impact policy, public relations or budgetary considerations.
