Job Summary

Provide programming support for an extensive nationwide alumni volunteer program including communicating all Cal Poly Alumni Association guidelines, policies and programs to alumni volunteers.

Under the direction of the Director of Alumni Programs and Engagement, support alumni programming through coordinating communication channels.

Provide onboarding, consultation, and training to community leaders on executing effective community and/or regional events, recruiting and retaining volunteers, and identifying support for the university.

Cultivate and establish relationships with new and existing volunteer alumni.

Participate in regular community leader virtual meetings.

Assist with maintenance and reports from the alumni database and CRM system.

Support special events designed to enhance connections between alumni and the university.

Assist with coordinating alumni activities and alumni/student volunteers at Volunteer Retreats, Open House, Alumni Weekend/Homecoming, WOW and other public university gatherings.

Provide support at Alumni House, welcoming alumni and assisting with requests.

Education and Experience

Graduation from a four-year college or university. Two years of technical or administrative experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


Anticipated Hiring Range: $22.48 - $24.73 per hour

Classification Range: $22.48 - $40.68 per hour
