Position Description

Job Summary

Under general direction of the Director of Data Systems, the Security Analyst in the Office of Data Management is responsible for managing and enhancing the security infrastructure within Strategic Enrollment Management by overseeing access management, cross-system security, and compliance within higher education systems. This role involves developing and maintaining security roles and permissions in PeopleSoft, integrating these roles across multiple systems, and ensuring robust security practices. The Security Analyst also plays a key role in system implementation, policy development, and training, ensuring that security measures align with institutional requirements and regulatory standards.

The division includes the offices of Admissions and Recruitment, Institutional Research, the Registrar, SEM Data Management and Financial Aid.

Key Qualifications

  • Develop, document, and test security roles and permissions to ensure they meet business and security requirements.
  • Manage and assign PeopleSoft security roles and permissions, including row-level security configurations such as service indicators, 3C group security, and item type security.
  • Create and maintain security configurations across multiple systems used in strategic enrollment management, such as PeopleSoft, Slate, Microsoft tools, and other relevant systems.
  • Work closely with IT departments, academic units, and administrative offices to address and resolve security concerns. Coordinate with IT to ensure effective cascading of PeopleSoft roles into other systems.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis. 

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $90,000 - $115,000 Per Year

Classification Range: $61,896 - $152,760 Per Year
