Position Description

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Administration & Occupancy Management, the Housing Assignment Analyst is responsible for making on-campus room assignments and maintaining accurate and current housing records for all on campus residents for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and as needed for Cal Poly Maritime.nge of skilled journey-level carpentry and related work, and may be asked to provide instruction and direction to unskilled and semi-skilled assistants.

Department Summary

Cal Poly University Housing (UH) is a department within the division of Administration and Finance that provides a premier living and learning experience for over 9,000 students in residence hall and apartment-style communities. Key Qualifications

  • Assess and identify needs for the housing application system, providing ongoing professional feedback and reviewing related processes. Ensure students are assigned housing based on preferences, accommodation needs, and availability.
  • Coordinate and evaluate housing assignments for special needs, programs, and requests. Collaborate and consult with departments (e.g., Disability Resource Center, EOP) to manage residential space use and assignment priorities.
  • Oversee summer housing assignment operations and support special housing projects as needed.
  • Manage, & process, and troubleshoot complex room changes and cancellations in the housing system, including all associated system transactions and resulting housing fee adjustments.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to create, update, and review Housing License Agreements, terms and conditions, and addendums. translate university housing policies into practical procedures and develop training materials.

Education and Experience

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,804 - $5,741 per month

Classification Range: $4,617 - $6,727 per month

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).

Supplemental Information
