| This is a part-time lecturer position in the Department of Criminal Justice (CRJ) for AY 26-27. Lecturer faculty teach lower-division and upper-division courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online platforms. Courses are offered at the Hayward campus, online, and at local high schools and community college locations. The CRJ program curriculum focuses on key areas of the criminal justice system, including crime prevention, corrections, community-based programs, impact of crime, forensic science, victimization, and policing. Minimum requirements are holding an M.A./M.S. in a related field, professional experience, and teaching experience at the university level. A Ph.D. in a related field is preferred. |

| The successful candidate will teach up to 15 contact hours per week in undergraduate laboratories and/or lectures, with assignments being consistent with the candidate’s expertise and training, as well as the specific needs of the Department. Most of our instructional needs will be in introductory chemistry courses. In addition to classroom teaching, the candidate will be expected to hold office hours for students and perform the other normal duties associated with teaching. M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry, applicants with degrees in related fields to chemistry will be considered if they have a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry or biochemistry. |
