| Under the general administrative and medical direction of the Lead Physician and Executive Director, and in accordance with established standardized procedures and protocols, the Physician provides comprehensive primary care to students of California State University, Chico. The Physician is a licensed health care practitioner who delivers a broad range of clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and health education. The incumbent conducts physical examinations; manages acute and chronic illnesses; orders and interprets diagnostic tests; performs minor procedures; and counsels patients on preventive health, family planning, and mental health concerns.
Physicians within the WellCat Health Center (WCHC) work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that supports the academic success and well-being of the student community. |
