| We are seeking an experienced Energy and Utilities Manager to oversee campus utility infrastructure, energy management, and sustainability programs. This position will lead the planning, operation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical, water, wastewater, stormwater, natural gas, thermal energy, central plant, and related infrastructure while collaborating with Facilities Planning & Management leadership, skilled trades, Design and Construction, Sustainability, and campus partners. Key responsibilities include developing utility and energy strategies; improving system reliability, resiliency, and efficiency; overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, utility procurement, forecasting, outages, regulatory compliance, and capital improvement projects; and advancing electrification, water conservation, decarbonization, and greenhouse gas reduction initiatives. The role will use metering, building automation, and performance data to identify energy conservation and infrastructure improvement opportunities while managing budgets, utility costs, contracts, vendors, and resources. The successful candidate will provide technical and organizational leadership, establish standards and best practices, ensure compliance with CSU policies and applicable regulations, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement in support of the university’s operational and sustainability goals. |
