Grounds Supervisor (Administrator I) Chico
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Custodial and Grounds, the Supervisor of Grounds and Landscaping Services is a member of the Facilities Management Services (FMS) leadership team and shares responsibility for the daily operations of the department. This position oversees scheduling and assignment of work, conducts site inspections, and ensures compliance with safety standards within the Grounds and Landscaping unit. The Supervisor provides direct oversight of grounds and landscaping personnel engaged in a full range of activities, including the planting, cultivation, fertilization, and maintenance of lawns, flowers, trees, shrubs, and other landscaped areas. The position is also responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and directing landscape and horticultural programs; reviewing project plans and designs; and inspecting completed work to ensure adherence to applicable specifications and standards. In collaboration with the Manager of Custodial and Grounds, the Supervisor assists with the preparation of the unit’s operating budget and the development of project timelines. Why Chico State?
