Along with teaching and program-building, this position also supports active involvement in research and professional scholarship. TYPICAL ACTIVITIES • Lead and continue to develop CSUSB’s new BA in Music Therapy program • Develop the BA in Music Therapy curriculum as needed • Teach undergraduate courses in music therapy, as well as additional courses in the Department of Music as needed • Recruit and advise all music therapy students • Coordinate and supervise internships and clinical fieldwork in music therapy • Serve as liaison with clinical supervisors and internship site supervisors, creating and maintaining these relationships • Attend all department faculty meetings and serve on departmental, college, and university committees • Maintain membership in the American Music Therapy Association • Maintain active involvement in research and professional scholarship • Other duties as assigned Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.
