| Under general direction, the incumbent provides lead programmatic direction in systems planning, business process development and improvement, cyclical assessments of business processes, and analysis of internal and external policies that govern graduate education and affect campus stakeholders. The incumbent develops internal processes related to campus and CSU graduate education and graduate program quality standards policies. The incumbent ensures programming workflows and operations minimize impact on faculty and students. The incumbent maintains a broad institutional view of graduate student programming, focusing on positive student and faculty experiences, and represents the division as an analyst in coordination and planning with graduate faculty, the Library, Information Technology Services, and Academic Technology.
The incumbent provides lead strategy and program work direction in process improvement of existing business processes associated with all aspects of continuing graduate student enrollment, retention, progress toward degree, and career services for both undergraduate and graduate students; offers analysis, coordination, and recommendations in collaboration with other campus units in the development of related student information systems and platforms; serves as the unit lead for continuing graduate student services; is responsible for policy interpretation and compliance and for implementing strategies in support of complex processes that support graduate student services and career services. |

| The School of Social Work seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool to teach bachelor’s and master’s level classes in micro practice, macro practice, human behavior in the social environment, research methods, and practicum seminar at our San Bernardino and Palm Desert Campus locations. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program or a doctoral degree in social work, two years’ post master’s work experience, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and experience working with diverse populations and community partners. Preferred qualifications vary depending on the type of course assigned and may include: a PhD (research methods) or an LCSW (micro practice/practicum seminar, and 5 years’ experience in clinical social work (micro practice/practicum seminar).
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term. We recommend submitting your application at least 4 months before the beginning of an academic term to be considered for available positions. |
