Duties include transitioning awards from the pre-award phase to the post award phase, which includes: reviewing incoming funding notices, awards, and agreements, performing compliance checks, and transitioning a complete package to the ORSP post-award team. Additionally, this position will manage awards as a post-award personnel for a few grants that are assigned. Other duties as assigned may include, but are not limited to: communicating information, updating, maintaining, compiling, and preparing written procedures and other relevant documents. This position will support the ORSP day-to-day functions by contributing to the efforts, such as, but not limited to: data collection, compliance, and award closeout of all grants including non-governmental/private grants to support the functioning of ORSP. |

The ASC collaborates with the faculty director and other full-time staff and faculty in planning program strategies and activities, and interfaces with other campus offices when needed to advance them. |

This Academic Advising position is a trainee position under the Student Services Professional (SSP) IA classification, an entry-level classification in the SSP series. This position will serve in a trainee capacity that is not to exceed 12 months. Upon successful completion of training and satisfactory performance under the SSP IA classification, this position may, at the discretion of the appropriate administrator and based on university needs, evolve to the next classification level – SSP IB and be expected to perform similar duties with greater independence and under more limited supervision.
