Working independently, under general direction, the Administrative Support Coordinator performs a full range of moderate to complex administrative assignments supporting the Office of the Registrar and the Veteran's Education and Transition Services (VETS) unit, including University Registrar, the Veteran's Coordinator, and Registrar staff.
This position must apply independent judgment and discretion, be self-guided and have the initiative to address problems and develop practical, thorough and at times, creative solutions. Duties include preparation, maintenance of budget records, fiscal oversight and budgetary analysis, payroll preparation and oversight, human resource documentation, and providing lead work direction and supervision of student employees.
Duties are performed with independence and responsibility for interpretation and implementation of the unit's policies, procedures, and guidelines. Independent judgment in determining whether an activity or issue is within the campus and University policies, procedures, and guidelines is necessary. Administrative support projects often involve coordinating, prioritizing, and monitoring through their completion with accountability for end results and work performed by others. |

The purpose of this position is to provide communication access via sign language interpreting services for students, faculty, staff and guests of the campus who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing. Sign language interpreting services may be needed in academic courses, meetings, office hours, student groups, and/or campus events. These services may be required to be provided remotely or on-site at one of Cal State East Bay’s three campuses: Hayward, Concord, and/or Oakland. This is an hourly, temporary, intermittent position. Work schedules may vary each academic term depending on operational needs. The incumbent may be required to work some weekend and evening hours as needed. |
