The Chief is responsible for enforcing applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as California State University and CSUCI rules, regulations, and policies.
The position oversees law enforcement operations, crime prevention, investigations, police communications and the 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point, records and CJIS compliance, property and evidence functions, Clery Act support, emergency management, business continuity, transportation and parking services, and related public safety programs. The Chief also serves as a visible campus leader responsible for professional standards, accreditation, community trust, equity and inclusion, and effective partnerships across CSUCI and with external public safety agencies. |
