| The Office of Procurement and Contract Services supports CSU Bakersfield and its auxiliaries by managing procurement and contract administration while ensuring compliance with state regulations and CSU policies. Reporting to the Director & Chief Procurement Officer, the Procurement Professional II works independently to perform a variety of moderately complex purchasing and contracting activities, including IT hardware and software, services, and campus agreements. This role coordinates solicitations, processes procurement transactions, and provides guidance to campus departments while supporting workflows within the CSUBUY Procure-to-Pay system. The position also emphasizes delivering excellent customer service, offering practical procurement solutions, and building strong relationships with campus partners, community professionals, and suppliers. |

| Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement and Accounts Payable, the Director of Travel and Expense provides leadership and operational oversight for travel and expense functions across the San Francisco Bay Region Network (SFBRN), serving California State University, East Bay, San Francisco State University, and Sonoma State University. The Director manages the Travel and Expense team and oversees the full lifecycle of travel and expense activities, including travel requests, expense reports, employee reimbursements, procurement card transactions, hospitality reviews, and compliance monitoring. The Director is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant processing of travel and expense transactions while driving process improvements, implementing best practices, and enhancing operational efficiency. The Director collaborates with campus stakeholders and Network partners to align travel and expense operations with institutional goals, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain compliance with university, CSU, and regulatory requirements. |
