The incumbent provides in depth guidance to applicants to assist them with residency determinations, student-focused customer service and staff leadership by demonstrating effective listening, availability and timely responses to all inquiries. The Residency Coordinator serves as the campus authority on complex residency and exemption cases, ensures compliance with CSU policy and state law, interprets evolving regulations, and recommends program enhancements. The role includes expert-level advisement to applicants and continuing students, training staff and student assistants, and coordinating with systemwide offices such as the CSU Chancellor’s Office and Office of General Counsel. In collaboration with the leadership team of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment, the incumbent consults on optimizing existing procedures to ensure a smooth experience for incoming students. |
