| Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of the Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC), the Life Project Coordinator engages in the Interactive Process with the students on a daily basis to perform analysis of all the student’s impacted major life activities and determine the appropriateness of these accommodation and services. The resulting services and accommodations provided to students include: the scooter program, note-taking provisions, all aspects of testing accommodations (including but not limited to those of University placement exams, standardized exams, extended time, conducive testing environment, and alternative media/assistive technology), accessible campus parking, tutoring, accessible furniture, etc. The incumbent works with students in time-sensitive situations and critical times of the academic semester to provide disability management counseling and evaluate the effectiveness of previously determined accommodations; the incumbent utilizes professional judgment to level the playing field through creative problem solving and collaboration with academic departments and campus partners. |
