Assistant Professor - Department of Computer Science #26-10 Northridge
The department of Computer Science at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of either assistant professor, preferably in at least one of a series of specializations. The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and have research interests in Cloud Computing, Big Data Management, Cybersecurity, Network Architecture, Dev-Ops, Operating Systems, Theoretical Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality, Software Engineering, Database Systems, Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence. In addition to teaching, the position requires weekly office hours, attending faculty meetings, participation in assessment of student learning, and service to the department, college, and university. The successful candidate will be held to the standards and requirements of the college and department in which he/she/they is/are housed for recommending tenure and promotion. Assistant Professor of Quantitative Psychology #26-04 Northridge
The Department of Psychology at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in the area of Quantitative Psychology or a closely related field, at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach upper-division statistics and research methods courses in our undergraduate program, as well as graduate-level statistics courses in our Clinical Psychology and Psychological Science MA programs. Course topics may include areas of quantitative psychology (e.g., univariate and multivariate statistics, latent variable models) and/or data science (e.g., machine learning and AI, Bayesian methods, predictive analytics). In addition, all faculty members are expected to conduct research in the subdiscipline of their expertise (e.g., quantitative, data science, clinical, social, cognitive, developmental, or diversity science) and involve undergraduate and/or graduate students in their research.
