Cal Poly Pomona is seeking a Lead General Accountant to join the dynamic team within University Accounting Services. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Lead General Accountant directs the work and monitors the day-to-day activities of the General Ledger and all subsidiary feeder systems. The Lead General Accountant ensures that assigned accounting program activities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting standards, identifies actual or potential problems and recommends corrective or preventative actions, aides in the development of financial statements and generates reports and reconciliations, provides consultative services to campus administrators in resolving accounting problems, and recommends, implements and disseminates changes in accounting system procedures and practices. The Lead General Accountant also acts as University Accounting Services project lead on all aspects of the CSU's continuing updates and maintenance to its PeopleSoft administrative applications.
