| This announcement establishes a one-year temporary, on-call Office Support Pool. Assignments typically vary in duration from one day to three months but may last as long as six months, and are generally between 20 and 40 hours per week. Office Support employees perform a variety of office duties including a full range of receptionist duties, typing, data entry, budget, filing, copying, opening/sorting/distributing mail, faxing, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, etc. Duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the hiring department.
Qualified applicants will be placed on a list to be used to fill short-term temporary vacancies.

| The successful candidate will provide responsible and professional leadership in managing the day-to-day operational needs of the department, including supervision of support staff, scheduling courses, evaluating and mentoring faculty, facilitating conflict resolution, fiscal management and allocating facilities and equipment for teaching, research and service activities. Within the Department, the Chair works closely with an Associate Chair on scheduling and curriculum matters. The Chair will also represent the Department and College with on- and off-campus constituencies and maintain positive public relations with these groups. In addition, the Chair is encouraged to develop and participate in activities that support the university's strategic plan. This plan emphasizes: a) student success; b) faculty and staff success; c) stewarding resources; d) community engagement and partnerships; and e) enhancing the campus identity. |

| The School of Social Work invites applications for multiple 12-month, full-time lecturer appointments focused on practicum education and Title IV-E child welfare initiatives. Appointees will advance the School’s mission across the BASW and MSW programs at the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses and within the online MSW program. Assignments vary by position and may include: directing practicum operations; placing students in practicum, ensuring strong relationships with agency partners, maintaining documentation and data; guaranteeing compliance with accreditation and university requirements; project management, grant application and management, and training and curriculum development. These roles emphasize practicum instruction and program administration with limited direct classroom teaching; specific duties will be determined by program needs and candidate expertise. |
