It serves the role of an instructional designer, providing faculty comprehensive instructional design consultations to enhance and develop teaching and learning, with a focus on utilizing academic technology for online, hybrid and blended course designs. Instructional design consultants work as a team to develop and deliver faculty training workshops in the use of the campus Learning Management System (LMS) and other academic technology supported by ATS. Serve as a technical and functional expert and knowledge transfer agent for Learning Technologies Support, Training and other ATS units supporting academic technology. |

| Reporting to the Director of New Student and Family Programs, the Assistant Director coordinates the mandatory SJSU new student orientation program for incoming frosh and transfer students, and supports Parent & Family Orientation. The incumbent is responsible for campus policy and procedure articulation and easily navigated, student-learning focused transition from acceptance through matriculation. Guided by the CAS standards, the incumbent supports the transition process as it relates to yield programs including Admitted Spartan Day, Fall Preview Days, and off-site yield events. |
