| The Communication Studies Department in the College of Liberal Arts at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, invites applications for a full-time, academic-year, tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 17, 2026. Area of Specialization (AOS): Critical and/or rhetorical approaches to technology and communication, including areas such as digital rhetorics and culture, algorithmic systems, AI and automation, communication design, or the social, environmental, and health-related impacts of communication technologies. Secondary interests in science and/or environmental communication are also welcome.
