The Chief of Staff advises the President in advancing the university by fulfilling a wide variety of complex and highly sensitive executive and administrative duties. The incumbent must have an in- depth knowledge of the university and maintain active involvement in issues of importance to the president and university, including state budget appropriations, government and community relations, legislative initiatives and campus climate. The COS also supervises the Office of Government and Community Relations, Communications for the President, Tribal Relations and serves as senior advisor for government and community relations and Tribal Relations assisting the president in prioritizing and maximizing relationships and partnerships. The COS also supports campus time, place and manner work. The COS serves as a member of the president's cabinet and reports directly to the president. |

As the Director of Employee & Labor Relations, you will work under the administrative direction of the Vice President for People & Culture to promote the resolution of workplace conflicts, process grievances, and investigate and address performance and employee conduct issues. You will refer possible violations of the CSU Non-Discrimination Policy to the Office of Civil Rights and Compliance, while directly addressing other conduct concerns outside of that policy’s scope. Your expertise will ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, relevant labor laws, and systemwide and campus policies. Under the general supervision of the Center Manager, the Case Aide works independently and collaboratively to provide administrative support, monitor participant progress, and assist in case management functions. This position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive, prosocial environment for participants. |
