The primary responsibilities of this position include collaborating with CBE deans, faculty, staff, and campus offices (e.g., University Budget Office, Academic Affairs, Accounting, Procurement, Advancement) to prepare the College’s operating budget, resolve financial and operational issues, develop policies, and support strategic planning. The analyst manages a large and diverse portfolio of funds with full fiscal authority and responsibility; interprets and implements policies across state, CSU, and campus levels; and designs processes, reports, and recommendations to ensure effective budget oversight. The role also includes extracting, analyzing, and reconciling financial, HR, accounts payable, and purchasing data; preparing transfers, projections, and reconciliations; approving and monitoring expenditures; and ensuring compliance with established policies. Additionally, the analyst leads financial and technical reviews to identify problems, adapt plans, and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and reporting tools. The position supports AACSB accreditation by monitoring and reporting financial data, ensuring compliance, and preparing required documentation and reports.
This role requires advanced expertise in financial analysis, resource allocation, accounting maintenance, financial reporting, expenditure and budget monitoring, recordkeeping, forecasting, and other department-level fund reporting. |
